April 9

Dear Senior Honors Choir,

Happy concert week!! It is crazy to think that we are approaching our last concert before the Season Finale weekend. A reminder that our concert this Sunday, April 13th, is at Eastminster Presbyterian Church (311 Haines Road). The call time is 3:30pm, and the concert is scheduled to start at 5:00pm.

Red Lion band students, we know that you have your school concert at 2:00pm, so just come as soon as possible after your performance.

YSMA Summer Camp

Anyone who is not coming with us to NY this summer, but might be interested in doing something musical during those days, you should take a look at the York Symphony Music Academy. For more information take a look at the flyer below.

Alumni Choir Invite

Please see below an invitation from Randy Yoder regarding the alumni choir’s performance at Distinguished Young Women:

During the last three years, our alumni have come together several times to sing. Hearing you sing and getting to see you again has been a wonderful experience in every way.

We are excited that our Alumni Choir has
again been invited to sing for the Distinguished Young Women’s Program at the Pullo Center in York on Sunday, May 18, 2025. And we would LOVE it if you could join us!

Here's the plan:  We'll practice on Saturday, May 17 from 1 to 4 p.m. and we'll meet at the Pullo Center on Sunday, May 18 at about 12:30 p.m. to do a sound check on stage, then rehearse again and sing at approximately 4:30 p.m.  You'll be free to leave by about 5:30 p.m.  If you are planning (or hoping) to participate, please go to the following link, Sign up for May 18 and enter the requested information.  We will provide sheet music and rehearsal tracks in advance so that you can prepare before we get together.

As you may remember, the Distinguished Young Women's Program is a scholarship program for outstanding high school juniors.  The Honors Choirs have supported this program for decades and, in turn, DYW has supported the mission of the Honors Choirs. This is a great way to bring our community together again!”

Looking forward to see you all on Sunday!

Sincerely,
Carlos Casilla-Nova
