The Junior Honors Choir season is about to begin!

OPENING MEETING AND AUDITIONS
Our JHC Opening Meeting (for both you and a parent/guardian) is on Sunday, September 24th, at 2:00pm. At this important meeting, we will answer your questions about the season and prepare you for your audition. Auditions will be on October 7th and 8th (you will sign up for an audition timeslot on either day). The opening meeting, auditions, and all rehearsals will be held at Asbury United Methodist Church, 340 E. Market Street, York, PA 17403.
SPECIAL OPPORTUNITIES
I am excited about some new opportunities that JHC will have this season. We will be hosting a special Guest Clinician twice this season. We also will perform in some concerts with SHC, so Mr. Carlos and I have selected a few pieces for JHC and SHC to rehearse and perform together.
SEASON SCHEDULE
Below is our nearly-finalized schedule for the season. Please check the dates against your calendar. In a music ensemble, it is very important that all members prioritize rehearsals and performances so that the whole team of musicians can be successful.
Fall
September 24th - Opening Meeting at Asbury United Methodist Church (2:00-4:00pm)
September 28th - Optional rehearsal to prepare for auditions (6:30-8:30pm)
October 7th and 8th - Auditions/Fittings (AUMC - afternoons on both days)
October 22nd - Rehearsal and Guest Clinician (AUMC 1:00-5:00pm)
November 5th - Rehearsal (AUMC 1:00-4:00pm)
November 19th - Rehearsal & Pizza Party (AUMC 1:00-4:30pm) and Performance with SHC at Asbury United Methodist Church (4:30-5:30pm)
Winter/Spring
January 7th - Rehearsal & Park Checks & Hem Measurements (AUMC 1:00-4:00pm)
January 21st - Rehearsal (AUMC 1:00-4:00pm)
January 28th - Rehearsal (AUMC 1:00-4:00pm)
February 4th - Rehearsal (AUMC 1:00-4:00pm)
February 11th - Rehearsal (AUMC 1:00-4:00pm)
February 25th - Rehearsal (AUMC 1:00-4:00pm)
March 10th - Rehearsal (AUMC 1:00-4:00pm)
March 24th - Performance with Elementary Honors Choir (afternoon; location TBD)
April 7th - Rehearsal (AUMC 1:00-4:00pm)
April 28th - Rehearsal and Guest Clinician (AUMC 1:00-5:00pm)
May 4th - Performance with SHC (evening; location TBD)
May 19th - Rehearsal for Finale Concert (AUMC 1:00-4:00pm)
June 2nd - Finale Concert performance at Appell Center (afternoon)
