Thank you to everyone who auditioned for JHC! You were told after the audition whether or not your audition was successful, but you should also receive confirmation this week via email. (Email is being sent to your parent’s email address.)

Practice Tips
Download rehearsal tracks to your device and listen to them frequently while riding the bus, doing chores, exercising, etc.
Several times a week, sit down with the sheet music and really focus on making sure you are accurately able to sing the assigned measures for each song.
DO NOT WAIT until the last minute to cram everything in. It is very obvious at rehearsals who is well-prepared and who is not. Be the good musician you are and take personal responsibility to learn the assigned excerpts well.
Remind Texts
Parents and students should sign up for our JHC “class” on Remind to receive a text notification each time a new JHC newsletter is posted to the website. Instructions for how to sign up are on the Rehearsal Tracks part of the website (use the password you received with your music to access the Rehearsal Tracks page).
Late Registration
I am allowing late registration this week. If you know any talented singers who would be interested in JHC but missed the opportunity to audition, please have them contact me directly at JHCconductor@theYCHC.org. I will arrange late registration and a make-up audition with those singers. Please reach out to your musical friends ASAP.

We are looking for 2 parents to serve as Logistics Coordinators this year to help with choir logistics for JHC rehearsals and concerts. Interested parents should email Executive Director Bill Lytle at ExecutiveDirector@theYCHC.org to apply. There is a stipend for this position.
