CONCERT DETAILS for May 4th

Performing Choirs: Junior Honors Choir and Senior Honors Choir

Date: Saturday, May 4

Location: York College - DeMeester Recital Hall

Call Time: “Call Time” for YCHC concerts is the time that you are to be in uniform and in your spot, ready to sing. You Call Time is 5:30pm. JHC is to report directly to the stage.

Wear: Wear your JHC concert uniform. Style your hair away from your face. Do not wear strong scents.
[Be sure that you wear all required uniform items as listed here — uniform option 1: floor-length black dress with blue sash, black tights/pantyhose, and black closed-toe dress shoes; uniform option 2: black dress pants, black dress shirt, black vest, blue tie, black socks, black closed-toe dress shoes]

Bring: water and a something quiet to do (book, card game, etc.)

Concert Seating: There are no tickets; the concert is free. The recital hall only has 200 seats, so we are only able to accommodate three guests per family. If you have any questions, contact Bill Lytle at ExecutiveDirector@theYCHC.org.

Concert Start Time: The house will open for audience seating at 7:10pm. The concert will begin at 7:30pm.

What to practice: Review ALL of your music and make sure it is solidly memorized. Especially clean up any memory lapses that you had at yesterday’s rehearsal. Also, practice singing all of the songs in front of a mirror, as Ms. Tracie suggested, to work on expressive communication of meaning.

  • May 4 (Saturday) — evening CONCERT at York College with Senior Honors Choir

  • May 19 — Rehearsal

  • June 2 — afternoon CONCERT at the Appell Center with all YCHC ensembles
