National High School Choral Festival at Carnegie Hall
The Concorde Vocal Ensemble of the Senior Honors Choir was one of two high school choirs invited to participate in the National High School Choral Festival at Carnegie Hall in February 2011. Conducted by Robert Spano of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and prepared by our director Randy Yoder and Atlanta Symphony Chorus Director Norman Mackenzie, our singers, along with a high school choir from Raleigh, NC, and selected professionals, performed the Berlioz Requiem in a 200-voice choir, with New York City’s Orchestra of St. Luke’s.
